Wat's gewd, name is Ricardo and this is how I do. When I take a picture my work is usually going to be how ever I am feeling at that moment. My work can vary from pictures of nature to candid photos of people. I am just trying to give an image to make people think, like most good photographers. To me a simple photo can have so many different meaning to different people, and I like how people try to put in there interpretation of someone else's work. To me it is very interesting how many points of view there can be to something. My favorite kind of pictures is the downtown setting, I like the geometry in architect and using it in my work. I also try to add a meaning to photos, just to see if people know what I am trying to get at.
The work of Alfred Steiglitz is one I can relate to. The famous American photographer work made up of different pieces that vary in theme. In his collections you can find deep personal photos. Some are face shots of people that seem to capture the very emotion he is trying to portray with the lighting and contrast. Other works of his include photos of nature and its beauty, many of which are shot in a different season with various natural lighting. My favorite shots and some that I can relate to are the buildings & architecture, wich are usually of cities or buildings sometime it seems like he is playing with geometric shapes. Its nice to see a photographer who can have so many different pieces of art that do not all revolve around a single theme.
My way of showing homage to Alfred Steiglitz work is by incorporating his way of keeping his photos different and elegant. His work included pictures of buildings, buildings and city life is my personal favorite kind of photos. I also enjoy taking photos of nature and using some natural shapes that can come out great in shots. Also I will try to take personal or candid photos, even though I enjoy more commercial or fashion oriented photos I liked his way of capturing emotion. Almost as if he knew what he wanted to be told through his photographs.
This is some of his work
